Continued low oil and natural gas prices led to big losses throughout the oil patch in the third quarter, but three of Oklahoma City's largest energy companies said Wednesday that reduced costs and plenty of stored up cash will help them weather the industry downturn. Many oil and natural gas producers in the third quarter have faced large noncash impairment charges because low commodity prices have eroded the worth of the oil and natural gas still in the ground.
